The data goes through the auto input process where it is read in and converted. A layer stackup algorithm determines what each layer is and its location. The algorithm takes into account file names, text files, file headers and even looks at the image when no other means of identifying the function is possible. The system then automatically proceeds to the analysis stage where a number of checks are run to determine things like typical line-widths, annular rings, minimum spacing, copper areas, testability and many more.
